Below you will find simple spells designed for the non practitioner. Please note, however, even if you are a practitioner: magick exists in every culture, originating centuries ago, so that not all practitioners subscribe to the typical "lunar cycle" theory that Wiccans do. For instance, in some areas the full moon is considered the most effective time to cast any kind of ritual, whereas, others believe that the day the spell is performed (irrespective of the moon phase) is more relevant. Still others think that one can do any kind of spell at any time (just as you can pray to an angel any time) and achieve just as potent results! Therefore, experiment with what is written below and discover for yourself what works best for you!

*SAFETY TIPS: Please exercise the utmost care when using any candles, oils, incense, fruits, flowers, herbs, roots, et al. Note that the word “chant” below can be substituted with words like “recitation,” “prayer,” and so on, too:
Always consult with your physician first to ensure you are not allergic to any ingredients!
Don't ingest any ingredients!
Always make certain you have proper ventilation, and don't inhale any ingredients for a prolonged duration!
Use diluted bath oils to bathe in if the chant calls for this, or if you'd simply prefer to take a bath in the oils instead of anointing the candles with these (which is just as effective)!
Wear gloves when handling pure oils to anoint candles with, or to place in a potpourri safe dish instead (which is just as effective)!
Never, ever leave any lit candles or incense unattended, and always douse with water prior to disposal!
Remember, although I only recommend knowingly safe ingredients and procedures, still, YOU are responsible for any candles, oils, incense, fruits, flowers, herbs, roots, et al you use, how, and the effects thereof!

Dreaming True Spell
Dreaming True Spell
Purpose: to acquire prophetic dreams without resorting to any form of conjuration. Take a warm bath prior to going to bed in which you have added a few drops of the following mixture:
Oil of Thyme
Oil of Lavender
Oil of Rosemary
Oil of Peppermint
Prior to taking the bath, light incense of:
Jasmine
Powdered White Sandalwood
Before you lay down to sleep write your question on a white piece of paper and place it in a small sachet with crushed Rowan leaves or crushed, dried Rowan berries. If the spell works then you should have your answer within a week.
Purpose: uses angelic energy to receive visions of past lives, spirits, and future events via a scrying mirror.
Procure a clear, round piece of crystal or concave glass. Wash it in sea or salt water to consecrate it. Next, take a vial of black paint and add one pinch of finely powdered St. John's Wort, then paint the back of the glass or crystal.
While you are painting say the following incantation to the Cabalistic Archangels:

Allow the paint to fully dry. Using a silver candle in a darkened room, gaze into the scrying mirror and concentrate on a specific question or person that you require information on.
Purpose: to call upon the Norse gods for prophecies revealed through immediate visions (sometimes these arrive later in the dream state).
Fill a cauldron or large, black iron pot half-full of fresh water. Add a handful of Buttercup or Marigold petals. Light incense of Sage (also used for protection) or burn some Thyme. Stir the cauldron/pot gently three times while chanting:

Look deep into the cauldron and wait for visions to unfold. You don't request insight into any particular matter using this method.
The Hyacinth Spell
Purpose: to retrieve a loved one or gain the affections of a new love interest.
I get so many questions regarding this one so please read the following carefully: we should never try to force another to love us or to return to us as that would be a violation of their free will and a karmic no-no. If someone truly desires to be with us, however, but some minor obstacles hinder them from accomplishing said then this spell might help. It utilizes a combination of your own magickal energy in conjunction with the energy of a living organism (a plant) to heighten the potency. The precise purpose of this type of spell is to enhance the receptivity of your love interest to your feelings, desires and goals and to help them overcome minor obstacles - not to make someone love you or come back to you.
Theoretically, this spell may be performed with any type of bulb from a tulip to an onion, although I have found that hyacinth and onion bulbs are the most effective. I know, one would not normally expect a less than desirable smelling onion bulb to work, but it can! You need to research and find out how to properly care for the specific plant you decide to use. Please don't write to me asking for instructions on said.
Likewise, if your plant starts to die there could be several reasons for this. One, the plant may have been sickly when purchased. Two, you might not be following the directions for taking care of it adequately. To be honest, it is extremely rare that a plant will die as a way of saying, "This union is not meant to be!" Nonetheless, I have heard from time-to-time about a plant meeting its demise due to obsession. Obsession is never healthy for anyone or anything.
Plant the bulb in a new flower pot naming it your loved one as you do. If possible tape a picture of the desired one to the bottom of the pot and out of the view of others. If you do not have a photo you can write the person's name on a small piece of paper and tape that to the bottom instead. Each time you need to water the plant, chant these words:

Radiant Health Spell
Purpose: to enable a person to attain and maintain radiant health. NEVER use magick to attempt to cure an illness! Please always seek a qualified physician instead. The purpose of this spell is not to cure you of any ailment but, rather, to contribute to better health overall.
Facing the east with arms spread wide, say the following invocation:
Lord God of the Heavens,
I pray Thee to fill me,
With the Life Fluid,
With the Life Force,

You need to envision a white, healing energy sweeping towards you while saying this. As it arrives, draw in a deep breath so that this force will be drawn in and down to the solar plexus. As you slowly exhale, form a mental picture of this energy spreading to all other parts of the body. This is to be done each Sunday for at least five minutes; after which you must bathe in the herb Coriander or sleep with a handful of the seeds underneath your pillow in a small, white pouch.
Protective Fire Shield Spell
Purpose: to protect yourself and/or loved ones from all types of harm.
Lightly anoint a small, white candle with Frankincense oil and a small, blue candle with Myrrh oil. Light both candles and then sit or stand before them. Look into the flames and visualize them bathing you with a glowing, protective white-blue light. Imagine their fire creating a flaming, shimmering sphere around you. Say the following words:
"Craft the spell in the fire;
Craft it well; weave it higher.
Weave it now of shining flame;
None shall come to hurt or maim.
None shall pass this fiery wall;
None shall pass, no, none at all."

Purpose: to protect yourself and/or loved ones from all types of harm.
Wear gloves when mixing and using. You will need to combine in a jar or bottle:
2/4's Cup of Spring Water
1 Teaspoon Vervain
2 Tablespoons Sea Salt
2 Tablespoons each of Frankincense and Myrrh
Sprinkle water very lightly around home in discreet places (i.e., in closets) and anoint the bottom of your shoes and those of loved ones. Dispose of remainder immediately after use.
Black Snake Root Spell
Purpose: to increase finances and bring good luck.
Botanical name: Cimicifuga Racemosa.
Common names and synonyms: Black Cohosh, Squaw Root.
Voodooists of white magic believe that one should soak the root in a cup of boiling water for fifteen minutes. The water is then strained and the root is thrown away. The liquid is put in a bottle and left for seven days.
On the eighth day, it is rubbed all over the bottom of one's shoes. The legend is that a person so anointed will be led toward money; either to find it, win it, or gain it in some legal manner.
Purpose: to give and receive money. Please don't be a smarty-pants and e-mail me insisting that I owe you a dollar or five dollars if you don't get a return on your investment, lol. I don't fall for that scam. You, and only you, are responsible for any money you choose to give away!
Write a blessing on one or even several one or five dollar bills (preferably using green ink) to the effect of, "May you always be blessed with health, wealth, and love!" Then hide the blessed bill(s) in public places where others can find them. Don't just drop them on the ground as that could look accidental.
Great places to hide blessed bills are inside a newspaper, especially in the employment section. Or you can carry a glue stick with you, go to a grocery store, and glue a blessed bill on the back of a food item such as a box of cereal or bag of diapers. Or you can glue one to the stall door in a public restroom. And so on. Anywhere as long as others will easily notice them.
I have great results with this spell, despite it being so darn simple! It's usually so effective because it utilizes the "what you give out shall return to you manyfold" law of the Universe, and the Universe can pay off abundantly, because while you're putting out the symbol of money you're actually giving out JOY! Imagine finding one yourself! Wouldn't that just tickle you pink ;-p
